Ukrainian souveniers

On Khreshatyk
If you walk from Bessarabka towards the Independence square on the right side, there is a tiny shop you might normally overlook. It is about 20 meters from Bessarabka and behind a small door in a corner you'll find the souvenier paradise. They have all kinds of Ukrainian crafts, pots, ceramics, vases, spoons, plates, national symbols and other little decorative pieces. Local artists and craftsmen just come and drop by their stuff here so the shop is really packed. Prices are very friendly.

On Andryivski
Spusk During weekends painters and craftsmen gather on this small steep street and become very skilled street vendors. You can buy paintings, jewellery made of porcelain, leather, stones or wood, pottery and of course also the symbols of Soviet era such as big furry hats, old watch and medals decorated with the omnipresent red star etc. There are several galleries and restaurants in this picturesque area and you should also stop by in the Andryivski church and see the view from there. In Tsum
In the Central Department Store on Khreshatyk, Souvenierstake the escalators to the first floor and you'll come up to the right place. There is stand with souveniers including the local shirts, matryoshkas and other items.
